Sharon Jewell’s Creative Expression

As a multimedia artist, Sharon draws on many forms of media, choosing whatever best captures her inspiration. For her, beauty and poetry are central to every creation – yet she believes expression extends beyond art itself.

“Everything we do is expressive,” she explains. For Sharon, cycling is a form of expression too, revealing what her body can do, where its strengths lie, and where its limits rest.

Her creativity also flows into the natural world, where she shapes artworks from materials gathered in the bush. In her words, “it’s about discovering something kind of pure.”
